Our Client, an Automotive company, is looking for a Electrical / Electronic Engineer for their Portland, OR location.

Responsibilities :
The main function of ICT Electrical Generalist is to be the single point of contact (SPOC) for TT / S department for software / hardware topics related to tasks assigned, generally for one or more ECU’s on the vehicle.
In those role you would investigate test truck hardware / software issues, support manufacturing and field topics, facilitate issue assignment, and gather required data to triage issues to resolution.
This role will also support all vehicle commissioning topics from test bench updates, HIL, test vehicle, or golden vehicle updates.
The person responsible will ensure ECU’s are properly updated, verify parameter settings, and sign off that the vehicle configuration is correctly supported by the documentation and datasets delivered to the vehicle.
Facilitate truck updates for one or many ECU’s
Confirm documentation of software / parameter settings meet vehicle configuration requirements
Troubleshoot / triage any issues related to ECU assigned responsibility
Facilitate correct system / feature function as part of vehicle commissioning
Support HIL updates
Review test truck specifications for correctness
Support manufacturing / field with troubleshooting
Requirements
General Electrical and Electronic trouble shooting
Broad knowledge of vehicle features / functions
Knowledge of vehicle EE architectures
Knowledge on flashing ECU software / parameters per specifications
Knowledge of issue tracking software tools / processes such as Jira
CAN tools such as C Analyzer, CANape (would be top of the list)
Electrical Eng background preferred
Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
1-2 years’ experience required. ( electrical engineering, anyone that has troubleshooting vehicle exp, diagnostic vehicle trouble code exp, general automotive knowledge / exp )
Top 3 must-have hard skills
Comfortable being hands-on and working on electrical harnesses / systems
Using measuring tools to troubleshoot / detailed oriented when troubleshooting
CAN tools such as C Analyzer, CANape ( would be preferred)
The performance indicators
Deadlines and quality of work, every task will be different
70% office, 30% on truck / workshop- Will depend on the tasks / time
Contractor will work with 1 other person to learn flash controllers and parameter controllers
Will then be paired up with software team to learn the tools and tracking systems
After a couple months of training they will be assigned their own tickets to be
Weekly team meetings, and daily huddles to plan the day, HM will also meet with the contractor weekly
Hands-on experience troubleshooting software issues, flashing software to ECUs, and diagnosing feature issues with the trucks.
