Accountable to assist engineers in reviewing process ability of new products in APU, Curing and Uniformity process; supports the production of test tires, preparation of samples, supports in the maintaining and improving quality of mass production products.
General Job Requirements / Experience / Background :
- Assist in Building, Curing, and Performance test of the newly developed products, and sort the newly developed tires for shipment to Research Center and Car Maker.
- Manage Test Tire Storage area and inventory of the tires.
- Check semi-products for building and assist in attaching stickers
- Conducting Uniformity test and sorting / delivery of test tires
- Cut samples, check the quality of Semi-products, check the Building machine condition and check for Defective tires based on the instructed work orders
- Repair Green Case in order to reduce number of defective tires
- Manages machine and tools related to performance repair
- Able to become and maintain certified forklift operator
- Effective communication skills and demonstrated effective team player
- Ability to read and understand job descriptions, job standards, and manufacturing technology standards
- Understand the whole process of tire manufacturing and the overall condition of equipment
- Demonstrated ability to report to work on a regular and consistent bases; work safely; and follow company policies and procedures
- Capable of performing manual tasks to include bending, kneeling, twisting, and lifting (potentially up to 50 lbs.)
- Perform other duties and tasks as may be assigned or expected to perform
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Logistics experience, time management, leadership, multi-tasking, organization, proficient in excel and word, attention-to-detail
Physical Requirements
Office or Other Indoor Work : With minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting / moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working Conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors and / or any number of elements.
Working conditions for this positions are split between the plant and office settings.
