Job Qualifications

• Education : High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience is preferred but not necessary (we will train)
• Licenses / Certifications : Current state pesticide technician certification / license preferred
• Clean Background Check : No Felonies in the past 10 years
• Clean Driving Record : No accidents or tickets

Job Description / Responsibilities

• Calls and / or texts customers to confirm appointments the day before you are scheduled to arrive.
• Inspects buildings and premises for signs of pests or infestation.
• Identifies the pest and the best ways to control and remove it.
• Estimates the cost of services. (Add-on to existing customers or services for new customers)
• Works both indoors and outdoors and often in tight spaces that may require crawling or kneeling.
• Uses baits and set traps to remove or kill pests.
• Applies pesticides in and around buildings and other structures.
• Designs and carries out pest management plans.
• Drives trucks equipped with power spraying equipment.
• Creates barriers to prevent pests from entering a building.
• Directs or assists other workers in treatment or extermination processes to eliminate or control rodents, insects, or weeds.
• Drives truck equipped with power spraying equipment.
• Educates clients on techniques for reducing pest problems.
• Cuts or bores openings in building or surrounding concrete, access infested areas, insert nozzle, and inject pesticide.
• Complies with all safety and environmental laws and regulations.
• Cleans work site after completion of job.
• Maintains accurate records.

Physical Demands

Physical ability to bend, lift, carry, climb, crouch, kneel, and perform all job requirements.

Work Environment

The weather will be cooling off soon so it will be wonderful to work outside. May through September it will be hot.

You will be handling hazardous materials, pesticides, so you must use proper personal protective equipment (PPE). We will provide this equipment to you.

It is your responsibility to use and maintain this equipment and request replacements as needed.
