Job Title : Staff Accountant
Location : Remote (CST Work Hours)
Contract Duration : 6 Months (Contract to Perm)
Job Description :
Work exclusively reconciling invoices. The ideal candidate will have some Planview and Ariba experience, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing invoices.
Attention to detail is a must
The Staff Accountant will review contracts / SOWs and IT invoices for appropriate coding and accounting guidance treatment.
This Position Will Have Responsibility For :
- Review and reconcile IT invoices based on hours entered in PPM tool (Planview)
- Vouch labor invoices against timesheets to ensure they comply with accounting policy (Capital vs. Expense)
- Review contracts and SOWs for pertinent details
- Create contracts or purchase requisitions in Ariba based on information in SOW
- Work with vendors to monitor aging items and to ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner
- Work collaboratively with Project Management Team
- Assist with internal and external audit requests
- Help ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures
- Work with business partners to obtain information supporting accruals and adjustments
Required :
- 1-3 years of accounting or relevant experience is required.
- Solid analytical skills and technical accounting knowledge are required.
- The candidate must be a self-starter with a willingness to work hands-on.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment is required.
- A BS degree in Accounting or Finance is required, and a CPA is a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel and Word is required; knowledge of SAP or Ariba is a plus.
- The ideal candidate will have some experience with Planview and Ariba.
