We are currently seeking a passionate, motivated, and detail-oriented Benefits Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization by supporting the administration of employee benefits.

This position offers a unique opportunity to gain a deep understanding of benefits administration and human resources while working in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities :

As a Benefits Assistant, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities :

1. Assisting in the administration of various employee benefits programs such as group health, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.

2. Conducting employee meetings and arranging for enrollment of employees in optional plans.

3. Conducting new employee orientations to ensure employees gain an understanding of benefits plans and enrollment provisions.

4. Responding to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes, and other general inquiries.

5. Processing and administering all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork : medical, personal, disability, and FMLA.

6. Ensuring the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.

7. Assisting with the open enrollment process.

8. Performing quality checks of benefits-related data.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Benefits Assistant position should have the following qualifications :

1. A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role dealing with employee benefits.

2. Proficiency in data entry and using human resources information systems (HRIS).

3. Strong knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.

5. Attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.

6. High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and internet functionality.

7. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and work in an organized, efficient manner.

8. A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
