2025 Summer Internship - Environmental, Health & Safety
Overall Purpose
The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) team supports all departments across the company with environmental and safety related items while continuously promoting that, the safest way is the only way.
We complete safety observations, participate in all incident investigations, perform Duquesne Light employees’ industrial hygiene testing, conduct safety and environmental training, perform site audits, communicate lessons learned, publish monthly safety metric reports and serve as a team of experts for all safety and environmental questions and concerns.
The future of Duquesne Light Company is bright because of our workforce development programs, known as Utility Technical Training (UTT).
DLC utilizes an apprenticeship model in our skilled training programs to prepare our future workforce for many of our most critical positions such as Overhead Lineworkers, Senior Operators, Switching Dispatchers, and more.
