I. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

Texas Health and Human Services Commission requires the services of 1 Systems Analyst 3, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Systems Analyst 3, Applications / Software Development and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.

All work products resulting from the project shall be considered "works made for hire" and are the property of the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law.

Texas Health and Human Services Commission will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s).

Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost / benefit analysis of alternatives.

Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system : Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be;

summarized, and formats for reports. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program.

Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.

We prefer candidates that have a current LinkedIn profile.

We are looking for candidates who have hands on experience and display good knowledge of the subject matter. Interviews for selected candidates will be technical and detailed, drilling into specific details.

Candidate will be responsible for the operations of SHARP secure cloud infrastructure, platforms, and software. Help develop patterns for automated provisioning, management, scalability and security.

Ensure that all cloud solutions follow internally defined security and compliance standards and controls. Respond to and resolve application, and security cloud issues.

Responsible for the overall vigor of the platform including production issues, troubleshooting, monitoring system capacity using various software, working with other technical teams and stakeholder.

Job responsibilities include

Monitor and maintain multiple environments for increase observability

Develop tools to continuously improve maintainability, monitoring, security and scalability of cloud deployments.

Operations support and enhancement of the SHARP platform

II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in establishing proactive controls to monitor the health of various AWS services to improve reliability of tools / applications.

Experience in supporting, maintaining, monitoring, and securing various AWS IaaS and PaaS services.

Experience in improving the security of various services based on zero trust model.

Demonstrated experience with Linux administration and troubleshooting network issues.

Experience or Knowledge of Dev / Ops concepts

AWS SysOps Administrator Certification.

Effectively manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize conflicting assignments, and switch quickly between assignments, as required.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Lumen and / or its clients will not provide equipment (Laptop, monitor, etc.) to the selected contractor. The contractor must have their own equipment.

Access to a virtual desktop set up (software) will be provided by Lumen s client, allowing the user access to the required systems and technology.
