Position Summary :
The IT Support Administrator plays a crucial role in our company's computer infrastructure. This position oversees hardware and software installations, troubleshoots, and resolves technical issues.
IT Support Administrator also assesses risks, identifies potential threats, and develops comprehensive policies to ensure operational efficiency and security.
The IT Support Administrator is tasked with implementing and managing a robust data backup and recovery strategy, providing technical support to end-users, and offering continuous training and exemplary customer service.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Manage user accounts, security permissions, group policies, and print services as part of administrative duties.
- Monitor system resources to ensure proper functioning of all architectural components, utilizing existing management tools to maintain data center health and promptly address hardware issues.
- Provide comprehensive support to swiftly resolve issues with desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment, minimizing disruptions.
- Maintain internal infrastructure, including laptops, desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, and phones, ensuring timely implementation of security updates.
- Support Internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments.
- Conduct routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups and storage planning.
Education :
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field.
Experience :
Minimum of two years of work experience in database, network administration, or system administration.
Technical Skills :
- Demonstrated working experience with various security systems and products that protect medium-sized businesses, including firewalls, routers, DNS servers, DHCP servers, file and print servers, managed switches, virtualization, and Active Directory.
- Proficiency in network technology, including wired and wireless networks, access points, switches, and VLANs.
- Knowledge of DoD compliance standards such as Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
