Job Summary

The role of this position is to support the provision of training in evidence based treatments and of clinical services to children and their caregivers under the supervision of the project director and research director .

Minimum Qualifications

  • Continuing education in related field required.
  • Candidates must have experience organizing information and data.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel, Word, and online platforms such as SharePoint, OneDrive.
  • Experience working with data management systems such as Microsoft Access or RedCap.
  • Interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to clearly, effectively and diplomatically interact with a diverse group of individuals at all levels within the organization to convey instructions and information appropriately and accurately while and promoting the goals of the organization.
  • Organizational skill to organize a variety of concurrent activities, set realistic goals and objectives, plan ahead and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Good writing skills to write clear and concise email communications.
  • Experience working independently and collaboratively with other professionals.
  • Knowledge of child, elder abuse, and domestic violence reporting requirements, and other significant legislation and laws regulating social work practice (e.

g., Tarasoff, confidentiality, etc.).

  • Ability to make appropriate interventions based on law and policy.
  • Knowledge of and experience with but not limited to : various software programs (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Access), email systems and internet.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA Degree.
  • Candidates with knowledge, experience, or training in evidence-based treatment protocols such as Parent-Child Care (PC-CARE) or Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).

Department Overview

The vision of the Department of Pediatrics is the healthiest future for all children and families with a mission dedicated to creating a healthy future for all children through outstanding patient care, transformative research, innovative medical education and community-based advocacy.

As part of the mission, the purpose of the CAARE Diagnostic and Treatment Center, is to provide culturally responsive, trauma informed patient care (mental health services), teaching and research on behalf of abused and neglected children.

The CAARE Center specializes in treating childhood trauma, offering evidence-based treatment within a multidisciplinary setting that values staff wellness.

Mental health services are provided to children ages 0 to 21 through various service contracts and grants across settings, including outpatient clinics, pediatric clinics, juvenile hall, and community settings.

We acknowledge that our society carries within it historical and deep-rooted injustices and biases. Children and families are impacted by systemic, cultural, social, and economic factors, and face barriers and challenges when seeking mental health services.
