RBPRSLLC is looking for candidates to fill the position of Ambulatory Care Nurse Manager. On-site position in New Haven, CT.

We are seeking candidates with ambulatory experience and the person must have at least one year of supervisory experience in an ambulatory setting is required, FQHC experience preferred.

What you will be doing :

  • Work collaboratively with providers and support staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Direct, organize, and supervise the work of nursing staff, which includes registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), and medical assistants (MAs).
  • Coordinate nursing efforts to ensure effective patient care and compliance with quality standards.
  • Provide primary clinical operation oversight including scheduling, billing functions, and patient care.
  • Develop and monitor employee performance plans; evaluate nursing and support staff activity and take corrective action as needed.
  • Assist in the recruitment, development, orientation, and training of nursing and clinical staff.
  • Serve as a clinical leader in various projects and forums.
  • Ensure integration of nursing services with other patient care services.
  • Oversee efficient processing of patients; ensure compliance with quality assurance, Joint Commission, UDS standards, and infection control activities.
  • Manage data collection systems for grants and report statistical data as necessary.
  • Attend mandatory supervisory nursing meetings and occasional weekend trainings.
  • Perform ongoing assessments and data collection focused on quality metrics.
  • Engage in performance improvement activities to enhance processes and advance clinical excellence.
  • Provide direct nursing care services, including administering medications, assessment, planning, treatment, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Document patient responses to treatment and care provided as per guidelines.

Experience you will need :

  • Connecticut Registered Nurse certification required (BSN preferred); a combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
  • CPR certification from the American Heart Association required.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise others.
  • Ability to act discreetly and with diplomacy in personnel management and patient care services.
  • Knowledge and experience in a primary care setting, including program development and quality assurance methodology; familiarity with PDSA and Lean methodology is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of ambulatory care experience, preferably in an FQHC setting, and 1 year of supervisory experience in an ambulatory setting is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently carry out assignments and nursing tasks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, patient registries, web-based tools, and the use of an EHR.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and relevant procedures.
  • Excellent written, electronic, and oral communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Bi-lingual with fluency in Spanish preferred but not required.
