The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Financial Readiness Coordinator provides administrative, programmatic, and project support to the Financial Readiness (FR) team and serves as the first point of contact for new alumni and family support members within the FR program.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide information to warriors and family support members about the scope of the Financial Readiness program and services offered.
Manage and triage incoming queue of new warrior and family support member referrals based on unique needs via phone, email, and SMS communication and appropriately distribute cases to program specialists.
Screen warriors and family support members for event and seminar eligibility.
Provide logistical and administrative support for ongoing seminar curriculum, to include event creation and management within internal event management system, attendee management, scheduling coordination, and communication with external partners.
Provide support during virtual seminars, to include managing attendance and participation, managing virtual platform settings and features, fielding incoming questions from attendees, and providing other necessary support as needed.
Provide administrative support for Financial Readiness team, e.g., record meeting minutes and special projects.
Coordinate with specialists, program leadership, program partners, and internal support teams to maintain and update program communications, processes, and ongoing information dissemination.
Enhance warrior and family support member awareness of and enrollment into Financial Readiness through program collaboration.
Provide support for emergency financial assistance triage, payment logistics and processing, and appropriate escalations.
Provide back-up support to Financial Readiness Specialists during high-demand periods or as directed by management, ensuring prompt assistance for emergency financial requests.
Track and manage cases appropriately utilizing internal client management system (Salesforce).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Effective organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively complete assignments and meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence. Ability to interact effectively with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds and build effective working relationships telephonically.
Basic understanding of military and veteran issues and military culture.
Demonstrated computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated proficiency with Salesforce, Cvent.
High energy level. Self-starter; willing to take initiative.

EXPERIENCE
Requirements
One year of customer service or administrative support experience.
Preferences
One year of experience working with Salesforce.
One year of working with an event planning / scheduling system.
One year of experience working with military or veterans’ population.

For Washington, D.C. Applicants : The estimated hiring range for this position is between $52,684 - $65,856 annual base salary, subject to a candidate’s combination of experience, qualifications, and credentials.
This position may also be eligible for an annual performance incentive.
