Job Summary :

This full-time position in Overland Park, KS, involves providing professional and courteous assistance to new patients. The Intake Coordinator oversees all scheduling aspects to ensure the highest quality of patient care.

Responsibilities :

• Answer incoming calls
• Address incoming emails
• Collect demographic and insurance information
• Enter patient data into EMR and payment systems
• Gather information regarding patients’ needs
• Schedule new patient appointments
• Send new patient emails or packets
• Process intake paperwork and insurance cards
• Maintain a referral spreadsheet
• Attend daily team huddle
• Collect patient payments
• Serve as backup for the front desk as needed
• Other duties as assigned by the Managing Director

Minimum Qualifications :

• Minimum of 3 years Healthcare Admissions experience
• Familiar with Behavioral Health, Testing and Evaluations
• High integrity
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Sound judgment
• Efficiency and self-motivation
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
• Accurate data entry skills with basic keyboarding knowledge
• Professional and courteous telephone skills
• Understanding of confidentiality and information release
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under pressure
• Willingness to collect payments from patients
• Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Familiarity with typical office equipment (e.g., calculator, fax machine, copier, computer, telephone, postage meter, scanner)

Located in Overland Park, Kansas, on College Boulevard, Responsive Centers has over 50 professionals in the areas of psychology, psychiatry, social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, and education.

Responsive Centers for Psychology & Learning was started in 1980 by a group of psychologists and educators who wanted to establish themselves as providers of premier psychological and educational services in the Kansas City area.

Over the years, we have added new clinicians and expanded our range of services to include not only therapy services, but assessment services as well.
