The Position
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our company. As the COO, you will play a pivotal role in driving the operational efficiency, growth, and profitability of the organization.
You will provide strategic leadership, oversee day-to-day operations, and ensure the smooth functioning of all business activities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the HVAC industry, excellent leadership skills, and a track record of driving operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute the company's strategic goals and initiatives.
- Create and implement effective operational strategies and plans that align with the overall business objectives.
- Identify growth opportunities, evaluate market trends, and make recommendations to drive business expansion.
- Oversee all aspects of the company's operations, including sales, marketing, procurement, logistics, and service delivery.
- Streamline operational processes, enhance efficiency, and optimize resource allocation to maximize productivity and profitability.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational effectiveness and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to the operational teams, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top talent, ensuring a skilled workforce capable of meeting business objectives.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
- Work closely with the finance team to develop and manage budgets, forecast financial performance, and monitor expenses and revenue streams.
- Implement cost-control measures and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations to drive financial growth.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to ensure exceptional customer service and client satisfaction.
- Monitor customer feedback, address concerns, and implement strategies to enhance the overall customer experience.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, industry partners, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks, implementing appropriate controls and procedures.
- Foster a strong culture of safety and adherence to health and environmental regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a Chief Operating Officer or in a similar senior management role.
- Deep understanding of HVAC operations, market dynamics, and industry best practices (Preferred).
- Strong business acumen with the ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Demonstrated track record of driving operational efficiency and process improvement.
- Exceptional financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- High level of integrity and a commitment to ethical business practices.
- Proficient in office software (Word, Excel, Google Drive, etc.).
- Must be able to lift 20lbs and stand for long periods of time.
