The Assistant Branch Manager will assist the Branch Manager in providing leadership to the bank through efficient daily operations in all areas of banking service.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities :
- Schedules and supervises personal bankers in daily tasks and operations.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Assists manager in efforts to reach profit, performance, and customer service goals.
- Oversees banking services, especially customer service, to ensure excellence; contracts or assists customers and prospective customers.
- Reviews and manages staffing procedures, ensuring that staff assignments and responsibilities are reasonable.
- Coordinates and communicates with branch staff.
- Works to meet branch performance standards including operating loss control, bank secrecy, and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Oversees and assists with the preparation of all branch reports for approval by manager.
- Attends and participates in periodic staff meetings.
- Manages branch operations when manager is absent.
- Preforms other related duties as assigned.
- Assist and discuss consumer loan requests with customers.
Education and Experience :
- At least 5 years Branch Experience required.
- Former supervisory experience preferred.
- Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Computer literate; Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Extensive knowledge of banking policy, procedure, products, and regulations required.
- Extensive knowledge of deposit / loan operations strongly preferred.

- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills required.
- Knowledge of banking applications and Microsoft Excel / Word required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with clients, all levels of bank colleagues and vendors.
- Ability to represent the bank in a professional manner.
- Must be able to work in a team environment and to adapt to change.
