Job Summary
The driver trainer will be accountable for the ongoing training of Harlow's School Bus Drivers, insuring drivers are trained by the standard of Harlow's as well as Federal, State, and Local Government entities while having the ability to obtains good relationships with drivers, managers, and other employees.
This position will also be expected to solicit and accept feedback from team members with the offsite operations leadership team to improve ongoing customer service, work processes and safety as well as responsible for observing, reporting and correcting safety concerns.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure that all Harlow's safety practices and procedures are being followed.
Assist Transportation Manager with completion of all training needs of drivers.
Test potential new hire and fellow team members as required.
Mark certain that drivers' logs are completed and turned in timely.
Will perform ride-along in order to ensure safe driving practices as well as positive student interaction.
Will conduct remedial training in the event of and accident (s), incident(s), injury or general concern(s) require such action.
Position Requirements
Experience and Skill Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to obtain third party state testing certification.
Ability to obtain or maintain class B CDL or higher with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsement.
