Job Details
Responsibilities :
- Oversee and manage all general ledger activity, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
- Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with all internal processes and controls as well as compliance with external laws and regulatory guidance.
- Coordinate with external auditors, manage preparation and support of all external audits.
- Develop and implement best practices for financial management and control.
- Participate in strategic planning, fraud prevention, and budget development.
- Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment strategy.
- Review construction in progress (CIP) schedules and ensure accurate capitalization of assets.
- Provide strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with banking, insurance, and non-organizational accounting personnel to facilitate financial activities.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role in the construction industry.
- Proven expertise in managing financials, entries, balance sheet, intercompany, and construction.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial data analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to think critically.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
- Self-starter with the ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow.
