OVERVIEW OF THE PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR ROLE :
- Ensure that payroll is processed timely and accurately.
- Payroll Administrator assists in payroll calculations, deductions, insurance coverage, wage garnishments, tax filings, and child support.
- Maintain employee payroll records up-to-date and accurate.
- Prepare employee wage summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leaves, retirement savings and benefits.
- Provide support in tax calculation and filing for employees.
- Payroll Administrator addresses payroll related queries and requests from employees.
- Review and recommend improvements to existing payroll procedures.
- Analyze payroll problems and provide appropriate resolutions.
- Follow and enforce federal, state and local laws.
- Payroll Administrator coordinates with HR and finance teams to carry out payroll processing.
- Assist in audit operations and implement audit recommendations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR ROLE :
- 4+ years of payroll experience
- A Payroll Administrator with UKG Workforce experience a plus
- Associates or bachelors degree preferred.
