A client in Huntsville is looking for a Contracts Manager to join their team.

This person will be responsible for managing assigned contract / subcontract administrators and work with both government and commercial customers as well as the joint venture partner to mold and seal business opportunities that coincide with the objectives.

• This individual will coordinate, negotiate and manage intricate proposals and customer contracts.
• Manage 4-5 Contract / Subcontract Administrators in the process of finishing multiple contracts.
• Current knowledge / understanding of the contracts function, IDIQ, Fixed Price, Cost Plus and Commercial contracting methods, FAR / DFARS, etc.
• Individually guide and support proposal activities inclusive of analyzing solicitations, preparing summaries, creating strategies and recommendations, preparing terms and conditions, reviewing proposals for accuracy, and preparing the proposal documents to be submitted to the customer.
• Counsel on proposal and contract language. Ensure coordination and other functional inputs are reflected in terms of offer.
• Collaborate with customers.
• Execute all aspects of contract lifecycle processing with required accuracy of order entry data, and necessary focus on contract funding, scope changes, contract amendments, delivery, and legal requirements.
• Guide / support fact-finding and various audits.
• Properly interpret contracts.

Skills and Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience in contracts or business administration support.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
• Proven capability to proficiently manage contracts professionals.
• Sound understanding of and experience with FAR / DFARS and export regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and close intricate negotiations / contracts requiring Current Cost or Pricing data and TCPD certification.
• Experience with multiple contractual agreements to support business (example : NDAs, MOU, teaming agreements, etc.).
• Verbal and written communication skills to be able to interface with Contracting Officers, customers, subcontractors, and Company management personnel.
• MS Office Suite skills, inclusive of mid-high level working knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Be able to make business decisions using best judgement while adhering to policies, procedures, and applicable federal laws and regulations.
• Deltek Costpoint and pricing and cost analysis experience.
