PATIENT CARE LIAISON

Responsibilities

Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center (a UHS facility) , is a 182-bed behavioral health facility located in Oakland Park, FL (Fort Lauderdale, FL), has been providing quality health care to the residents of South Florida.

FLBHC provides inpatient and day treatment for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults. Our professional staff individualizes care to uniquely fit the intensity and severity of each client's case and their family's needs.

Because crisis occurs at all times of the day and night, our services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Patient Care Liaison Mon - Friday, 8 : 00a - 4 : 30pm

The Patient Care Liaison works with patients and their families to address concerns or special needs that may arise during their course of treatment within the hospital setting.

This Patient Experience Liaison works directly with various members of the healthcare team, hospital departments, and / or administration to solve problems that patients & families may have with the goal of facilitating a positive patient experience during their time in the facility.

The Patient Care Liaison acts as an intermediary between hospital departments and the patient / family to bring about the most effective healthcare treatment and positive hospital experience.

Employee in this position may be required to :

• Work some weekend shifts
• Work late shifts

Qualifications

Education :

Bachelor’s Degree in mental health / behavioral sciences field preferred Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required or equivalent

Licensure / Certification :

CPR certification

Experience :

• Previous experience in a healthcare role in which you worked directly with patients
• Existing knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Understanding of medical insurance policies
• Knowledge of MS4 a plus
