Job Summary

The position is part of the global AMF IT Application team, reporting to the Director of IT Applications of AMF, an operating company within the Markel Food Group.

The IT Technical / Engineering analyst is responsible for maintaining and supporting solutions in PLM, CAD and applications on Azure Portal / Power Platform.

This teammate will work closely with Operations, Engineering and Sales users. This position will also be an advisory role for senior leadership regarding PLM and Power platform functions in the Microsoft space.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background coupled with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex IT issues.

You will play a key role in analyzing and interpreting data related to our IT systems and operations, identifying trends, and providing strategic recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between technology and business end-users including hands on coding experience
• Identify, assess, and document business requirements, recommending business priorities and advising business on options, risks and costs versus benefits of various solutions
• Triage incidents / problems with PLM / Microsoft Power Platform as they arise (as Tier I / II support), and either manage or directly perform enhancements / fixes to provide resolution satisfactory to our business partners
• Create & identify ways to improve PLM metrics and KPIs
• Manage projects / enhancements by gathering requirements and finalize solutions
• Write and socialize test plans, System Integration test cases and UAT test cases related to PLM / Power Platform systems and their changes
• Partner with internal / External global users to learn their business, business processes, challenges and objectives
• Manage execution of System Integration Testing and UAT related to support PLM / Power Platform systems and their changes
• Assist with completing operational readiness (Service Transition) documentation required of all changes made to PLM systems
• Develop use cases to explain / demonstrate business requirements / specifications to the technology and Engineering team
• Facilitate implementation of new functionality through communications, training sessions, demos, and the development of appropriate documentation
• Critically evaluate information from multiple sources and clearly indicate quality of final analysis
• Determine, implement, and evaluate business metrics to meet ongoing organizational or customer information needs
• Analyze and report on complex data to meet business needs.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on Techno-functional experience in PLM systems (Bluestar preferable).
• Experience in CAD systems and Integration (preferable Solidedge)
• Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Power platform preferable
• Knowledge and experience in .Net, JavaScript, Python preferable
• General understanding of ERP and CRM solution preferred
• Experience / understanding of business process reengineering and business modeling concepts
• Must have experience in ERP integration and data migration
• Experience in creating process design document and functional design / training workshops.
• Certification in Azure services preferable
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineer or related field
• Good knowledge of project tools including Office, Visio, Issue tracking system, Visual Studio
• Strong analytical and writing skills
• Business experience a plus
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%
