What will you do?
Strategy :
- Perform needs analysis for different Schneider entities in all geographic zones and segment the category needs.
- Perform in the geographic zone market analysis / intelligence and identification of market trends that could affect the pricing and supply
- Identify and propose to the CFT list of Strategic suppliers for the geographic zones as per needs segmentation.
- Assess supplier risk (quality, bankruptcy, shortage)
- Contribute to the development and deployment of the global cost models, scoring models etc
- Drive dynamically the optimization of the supplier base
- Develop a short, medium, and long term strategy for the specific category (1,3,5-year strategy)
- Communicate strategy at executive levels in North America
Execution :
- Directly manage some Strategic suppliers and get involved in global negotiations with these suppliers.
- Support the other purchasers (OCP, regional) in their negotiations (tools, arguments)
- Support the implementation of productivity on QVE (Quality Value Engineering) and CoS (Change of Supplier) and identify new savings opportunities with the cross functional team
- Plan business reviews with Strategic suppliers located in the geographic zone and assign the task to the respective supplier leaders in that zone
- Follow up on supplier development and improvement action plans
- Deploy supplier development and improvement action plans
- Deploy supplier framework agreements with the Strategic suppliers located in their geographic zone
- Propose to the CFT evolution of the Supplier Orientation Chart based on the Evolution of the Category Strategy
- Lead qualification process for any new supplier linked to the category
- Coordinate continuous action plan with CFT to fight against creation of any new supplier out of your control
Performance Monitoring :
- Track the monthly Performance for the suppliers in his geographic zone (Quality, Service, Productivity)
- Handle most critical crisis with Strategic suppliers
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Mechanical / Industrial / Electronics Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field is required, (Master's degree is a plus).
- 5+ years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, or Supply Chain.
- Negotiation skills with key suppliers and Schneider executives
- Project management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of successful procurement supplier negotiations.
- Familiarity with legal contracts and risk management preferred.
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and influencing skills.
