Marketing Analytics Manager, Adoption & Retention

San Francisco

The Asana Marketing team is responsible for fueling business growth and building a brand customers love. We create campaigns and content to attract new accounts and inspire current ones to grow with us.

We continue to grow, with a global team focused on revenue and field marketing, product marketing, brand and content creation, advertising, and lifecycle marketing.

To help power our next wave of growth, we’re looking for a talented and driven Marketing Analytics Manager to help us optimize our efforts to drive customer adoption and retention.

The Marketing Analytics team is passionate about using data to help make better decisions and serve insights with strategic implications.

We work closely with our marketing partners, serving as strategic thought partners. As a Marketing Analytics Manager, Adoption & Retention, you will work on the entire marketing analytics lifecycle, including developing foundational dashboards, defining measurement methodologies, and leveraging data to drive key strategic decisions.

You’ll work in a cross-functional environment with product, sales, data science, and other business analysts to build models that help marketers understand and influence Asana’s growth, create KPIs that measure and monitor our progress against business-critical goals, and perform ad hoc analysis diving into the impact of individual campaigns, investments, and initiatives.

This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner.

If you're interviewing for this role, your recruiter will share more about the in-office requirements.

What you’ll achieve

  • Function as an analytics partner to our customer education marketing team, including sizing opportunities, establishing consistent tracking, KPIs, and dashboards, plus developing insights into campaign impact on lead generation, sales pipeline and revenue.
  • Identify gaps in our marketing funnel and surface opportunities
  • Develop a deep understanding of available data and how they can be used for different analyses to answer questions and solve problems
  • Drive interpretation, socialization, and adoption of analytics insights
  • Work cross-functionally with Enterprise Technology and Engineering teams to identify and address analytics tracking, tooling, attribution modeling, and infrastructure challenges
  • Collaborate with Data Science to inform the development of predictive models that guide marketing targeting and investments.

About you

  • 4+ years experience in analytics, preferably with exposure to both B2B and self-service business models
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or a related technical field
  • Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries, and working with large data sets
  • Strong skills in both qualitative and quantitative analysis, including content analysis, hypothesis testing, cluster analysis, experimentation, A / B testing, and statistical techniques
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting technical content to non-technical audiences
  • Action-oriented with a natural curiosity for detail and a strong analytical mindset.
  • Proven ability to initiate and complete analytical projects independently
  • Data visualization and dashboarding experience using Tableau, Looker, or similar

At Asana, we're committed to building teams that include a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills, as this is critical to helping us achieve our mission.

If you're interested in this role and don't meet every listed requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
