Major / Essential Functions

  • Work with Lead Administrator in International Student and Scholar Services to oversee immigration caseload for TTU faculty and staff from intake through to final processing.
  • Serve as a backup Department of State, Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) for the J-1 Exchange Visitor Program.
  • Assist with maintaining internal database of immigration records.
  • Coordinate with TTU departments on the visa service process for current and incoming staff and faculty.
  • Request and maintain all required documentation from TTU department employment service coordinators and foreign nationals for the visa support process.
  • Edit and maintain Excel spreadsheets.
  • Draft correspondence using both Word and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Review and navigate information in campus databases.
  • Assist with internal reviews or audits of immigration-related data, processes, and documents.
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of applicable Federal, State, University, and ISSS regulations, policies, and procedures.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years related experience; OR a combination of education and / or progressively responsible related experience to equal six (6) years.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree and experience working with student immigration processes and requirements.

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
