Overview
The Document Management and Control (Information Security) contractor shall be responsible for ensuring all classified information is properly handled and personnel are trained on proper transmission, control, storage distribution and destruction of classified documents and material of all classified information in accordance with local policies.
The contractor shall engage and coordinate with the receiving security personnel to verify facility clearance prior to distribution of classified material.
Responsibilities
- Process incoming and outgoing documents utilizing the security management program SIMS
- Prepare documents for transmittal via fax and other secure program communications
- Ensure markings on documents are accurate and reflect requirements set forth in current marking policies
- Maintain various facility logs to include fax, and media control
- Maintain document control receipts in adherence to requirements as set forth in local and national requirements
- Conduct inventories of controlled materials in adherence to national security requirements
- Ensure adherence to facility reproduction and destruction procedures
- Prepare documents and material for destruction
- Conduct and document classified material destruction in accordance with facility and national security requirements
- Perform escort duties as required
- Conduct courier duties as required
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant DOD regulations, policies, and procedures
- Assist in conducting facility self-inspections and identifying appropriate corrective actions to rectify any identified deficiencies
- May be called upon to assist the GSSO / CPSO in conducting IDS and Guard force response testing
- Additional functions performed in this role may include : Data Transfer Agent, COMSEC Custodian, and Top Secret Control Officer
- Perform backup duties in support of the Security Administrative Assistant
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications
- Education : High School Diploma or equivalent. One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
- Certifications / Licenses : Top Secret Clearance with favorable SSBI completed within past six years'
- Experience : Two years’ experience in a DoD security environment or (DSS Academy formal training can be submitted for 1 year of experience)DSS Academy formal training can be submitted for 1 year of experienceTwo years’ experience in a DoD security environment : Introduction to Industrial Security Course, IS011.

- Other Requirements : Working knowledge of Security manuals, directives, and Executive Orders (NISPOM, 5205.07, VOL 1-4,
- Skills and Technology Used : Working knowledge of document control software.Proficient with security management programs.
