Column Technical Services is currently seeking Tool and Die Supervisor. This position will oversee the Tool Room staff and ensure that on-time delivery requests from customers are met, while actively working and achieving established safety, quality standards.
This position requires strong experience in tool build and advanced machining processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to routinely multi-task.
Duties and Responsibilities : 1. Assist as needed to estimate and prepare quotes for new tooling and various machining projects, for both cost and time estimates.
2. Reduce Tooling downtime, consistent operation of tools, accountability in the tool room. 3. Able to accurately schedule machinists to meet due dates for die build within budget.
4. Determine best process path and create supporting routings to manufacture tooling to print. 5. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Preferred Experience / Qualifications : 1. Ability to multi-task in a very dynamic, shop floor environment. 2. Ability with designing and fabricating work-holding fixtures for use on Fabrication machines 3.
