Job Responsibilities

The Research Nurse Project Manager will work closely with the PIs to ensure the day-to-day operations of the study and dissemination of research products.

Essential responsibilities for project #1 include synthesis of qualitative data using NVivo and assistance with dissemination efforts.

This individual will also work closely with the PIs to organize a virtual Health Equity Learning Collaborative convening, including preparation leading up to the meeting.

Essential responsibilities for Projects #2 and 3 include enrollment of participants into the study through the informed consent process;

data collection and data entry, and conduct and recording of 60 interviews.

Utilizing their nursing licensure, the candidate will evaluate patient clinical data contained in the electronic medical record;

and implement nurse-based care coordination in accordance with the study protocol.

Facilitate and lead weekly care coordination meetings and review current health status, risk factors, social determinants of health, discharge status, and barriers to successful care transitions.

Additionally, they will conduct follow-up telephone calls to assess barriers to self-management and successful care transitions, manage participant follow-up to ensure timely and complete data collection and develop processes and procedures, tools, and training to enhance research activities.

Data management activities will include overseeing data entry and quality assurance.

The Research Nurse Project Manager will attend study team meetings, including cross-disciplinary patient review meetings which include interface and communication with members of the medical team including, physicians, nurses, social workers, and healthcare administrators.

They will work collaboratively and manage relationships with clinical and community research partners, both within the organization and with external stakeholders.

The Research Nurse Project Manager will prepare and report on the study data / findings to community partners and stakeholders.

The position may require infrequent travel to the participant’s home for interviews.

Provide support to the Principal Investigator, including assisting with IRB submissions / modifications, assisting with the scheduling of training and meetings, and conducting literature reviews.

Complete the paperwork required for working group and advisory board payments, procurement and management of survey and interview incentive payments, and healthcare professional incentive funds.

Support dissemination activities including poster and manuscript preparation.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
