Position : IT Project Coordinator
Location : 4x per week onsite in Miramar, FL
Duration : Contract to Hire
Rate Range : $45-50 per hour
Position Overview :
This IT Project Coordinator will be supporting cruise ship modernization projects, all projects will be focused on upgrading and enhancing the software and hardware on existing cruise ships
This team supports pre planning for all projects meeting with vendors, order processing, scope validation, budget creation, etc
Looking for a strong IT Project Coordinator or Project Manager with a background in IT Infrastructure (networking, wifi, servers, firewalls, etc)
Requirements :
- 3-5+ years of Project Coordination / Management experience
- Networking / Infrastructure background
- Ability to travel on a dry dock 10%
- Soft skills go getter, flexible, resourceful, really good communication
Preferred Experience :
- Dry dock / cruise ship experience
- ServiceNow
Day to Day Responsibilities / typical day look like :
Supporting the Senior Project Manager :
Assist the Sr PM in coordinating and managing pre-planning activities.
Attend regular meetings with the Sr PM to discuss project progress and upcoming tasks.
Pre-Planning Activities :
Conduct investigative tasks to gather necessary information for project scopes.
Meet with superintendents (HVAC, electrical) to discuss project requirements and gather input.
Validate project scopes once quotes are received to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
Order Processing and Tracking :
Process orders for materials and equipment needed for modernization projects.
Track the status of orders and ensure timely delivery to meet project timelines.
Scope Validation :
Review and validate project scopes to ensure they align with approved plans.
Communicate with vendors and contractors to confirm scope details and resolve any discrepancies.
Collaboration and Communication :
Work closely with the execution team to hand off completed pre-planning tasks.
Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, including the Sr PM, superintendents, vendors, and the execution team.
Project Documentation :
Maintain detailed records of all pre-planning activities, including meeting notes, scope documents, and order tracking logs.
Use tools like MS Project, Jira, Workfront, and Excel to manage and document project tasks.
Reporting and Financials :
Generate reports and track financials using Power BI.
Monitor project budgets and ensure expenditures are within approved limits.
ServiceNow Ticket Management :
Use ServiceNow to manage and track tickets related to project tasks and issues.
Ensure timely resolution of tickets and communicate status updates to relevant stakeholders.
