The Quality Engineer Intern will engage in various experiences in three areas of Quality : Operations Quality, Supplier Quality, and Design Assurance.
This person will work cross-functionally on a variety of projects to fulfill Coloplast business goals. The Quality Engineer intern will work closely with Manufacturing on Operations Quality projects and tasks, engage with suppliers on Supplier Quality projects and tasks, and support Research and Development projects as part of the Design Assurance team.

Major Areas of Accountability :
- Participate in hands-on problem-solving and resolution
- Support and own resolution of Quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Support supplier communication for Quality issues or projects
- Implement process improvements under the guidance of project engineers
- Review of validation protocols, reports, and other documentation for both Operations and Research and Development functions under guidance of project engineers
- Support implementation of manufacturing or supplier changes
- Create and maintain good records of inspection and test results related to assigned projects

Basic Qualifications :
- Pursuing a 4-year or graduate degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent
- Undergraduate student (completed sophomore level or higher) with successful completion of basic engineering course work.
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Able to develop test protocols and synthesize data to write test reports based on observed data, relevant test standards and general engineering knowledge
- Familiarity with statistical analysis (. two-sample t-test, tolerance limit calculation)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
- Good problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of basic engineering concepts and principles
- Ability to work independently and to be a technical assist on group projects
- Ability to take verbal instructions and translate them into goals and objectives
- Good written and verbal communication
- Pro-active; high-performance and results orientation
