Siemens' Site Controls™ Energy Management System (EMS) is a sophisticated, yet easy to use, energy and facilities management solution that helps companies face these pressures - and keeps them prepared for future opportunities.
The Site Controls solution utilizes the latest hardware, cloud-based software technologies, and open architecture standards to enable real-time business intelligence, site comfort, energy management, and equipment diagnostics.
With a relatively small capital investment, Site Controls significantly reduces energy costs and helps improve shopper comfort through monitoring and controlling of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, lighting, signage, refrigeration, submetering, and more.
It's an integrated approach that has been proven effective in large chain Fortune 500 retailers, health clubs, restaurants, and branch banks throughout North America - some projects have delivered sufficient energy savings to recover installation costs in as little as 24 months.
The Operations Manager II has the overall engineering, implementation, and service responsibilities for the Retail and Commercial Solutions (RCS) business.
In this role, you are responsible for the engineering, project management, contracting tier, commissioning and service of the Site Controls systems, ultimately leading to satisfied Siemens' customers.
As the Operations Manager, you will :
- Supervise, train, and mentor the team through goal setting, performance monitoring, employee review meetings, and scheduling of formal training.
- Oversee engineering and participate with development of product and software needs.
- Manage revenue, gross margin, and absorption to achieve monthly and annual business plan projections and forecasts.
- Direct and supervise the development of project plans in order to monitor and control the progress in the execution of work.
- Ensure schedules are maintained and projects proceed in accordance with the contract documents and customer expectations.
- Plan and justify manpower, staffing requirements, tools, and other appropriate investments for effective and timely execution of work.
- Works with Procurement and Warehouse teams to ensure the availability of material to complete jobs on time.
- Maintains business best practices, ensures LOA , and boundary conditions are adhered to.
- Provide technical and operational support for the sales teams with pricing and scope-of-work definition for project opportunities.
- Maintain relationships between Operations and Sales teams so project details, changes, and plan discrepancies can be managed to minimize cost and delays throughout the estimating, bidding and operations phases of each project.
- Manages customer warrantee's and Service Agreement deliverables including Time and Material processes.
- Work with Sales team to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Support project productivity and profitability through cost-containment procedures and processes.
You will make an impact with these qualifications :
Basic Qualifications :
- Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school or 7+ years in a leadership role in a similar field
- Demonstrated experience supervising teams; 4+ years preferred
- Demonstrated experience with engineering and / or project management; 7+ years preferred
- Demonstrated solid understanding of job financial reporting with ability to apply cost control measures for projects
- Knowledge of management approaches for work direction, motivation, performance management, and disciplinary action
- Demonstrated familiarity or experience with building HVAC, Automation, and Electrical Systems; 7+ years preferred
- Demonstrated excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
- Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills in English
- 10% work travel
- Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree
- Preferred 10 years of experience in energy and sustainability
- Preferred minimum 5 years of experience in construction and contracting
- Strong knowledge of decarbonization solutions and services

The pay range for this position is $130,690 - $224,040 and the annual incentive target is 15%. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
