Merit Brass Company is seeking a dynamic Industrial Sales Manager to spearhead our sales initiatives and expand our market share in Houston, TX.

The focus of this position is to provide impactful solutions for our PVF customers and drive significant growth. As an Industrial Sales Manager, you will forge new customer relationships, deepen existing ones, and champion our mission to deliver unparalleled quality and service.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities :

  • Promote and market all of Merit Brass product lines to all of the customers within the Industrial Sales’ Manager assigned territory
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers in the assigned territory
  • Visit customers’ sites to gain an understanding of their processes and needs
  • Offer suggestions as to how Merit product lines can meet or exceed the reliability, efficiencies and value of competitors’ products to improve the customers’ processes and operations
  • Manage territory and accounts in a manner that will enable you to meet or exceed sales goals
  • Become technically proficient with all of Merit Brass product lines
  • Target growth in the Industrial PVF segment
  • Collaborate with sales leadership, local sales representatives, and marketing to grow market share in the territory

Requirements :

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years sales experience and 2 years of experience selling Industrial Pipe, Valves, and / or Fittings
  • BS College degree (in Engineering, Business or related major), or high school diploma plus relative experience preferred
  • Prefer to have sales experience in the Houston, TX market
  • Primary residence is in the Houston, TX area and willingness to travel overnight throughout the Gulf Coast region as needed
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with a CRM tool
  • Proficient project management and communication skills
  • Proven track record of success, including business development, sales, and account management while achieving targets and complex sales
  • A self-starter who enjoys working in an autonomous role while being a member of a team of highly skilled colleagues
  • Ability to demonstrate learning agility, creative thinking, adaptability, problem solving and resourcefulness
  • Solid organizational and time management skills; able to work in a virtual setting with minimal supervision
  • Capable of lifting 50+ pounds
