The Role at Glance :
- Visit project sites regularly.
- Facilitates customer and team meetings.
- Ensure that project staff completes submittal reviews, status reports, closeout documents, and maintenance manuals promptly.
- Monitors progress identifying issues during budget / costs reviews, developing needed corrective actions to mitigate issues.
- Responsible for developing proposals and execution of strategy for MEP trades of the project and coordinating with the Project Management Team for the general building trades.
- Contributes to Risk Management and Relationship Management plans.
- Monitors purchasing of materials, subcontracts, equipment, and services for project(s).
- Ensures that the project MEP Services staff is issuing change orders to subcontractors and customers according to the work procedures and completing red files accurately and in a timely manner or providing financial status information to the project team.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree or minimum of 10+ years’ experience in semi-conductor, ez battery / solar or chemical plant; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- MEP SME
- Minimum 7 years of profit and loss accountability on multiple projects.
- Minimum 5 years managing all disciplines of design / build or hard bid projects.
- Experience with lump sum, GMP, cost plus, and fee-based contracting methods.
- Understanding of legal aspects of contractual language.
- Proven record of increasing project profitability.
- Technical knowledge in engineering and design to act as primary customer contact.
- Thorough knowledge of costs and fees for various engineering and design services.
- Knowledge of the impact of design, engineering, or construction changes on projects.
- Managed at least one project with over $2 million in process / production equipment scope.
- Experience with equipment procurement, installation, and cost estimation.
- Ability to mentor and train project staff.
- Proven experience in developing aggressive project schedules.
- Experience preparing cost estimates for industrial design / build projects.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
