We’re currently searching for a Coordinator for ExperienceVT to join our Residential Well-being team in Blacksburg, VA to help us in our mission.

HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS ROLE :
1) You’ll be joining the Residential Well-being team; a department centered on creating intentional residential communities that are characterized by belonging, flourishing, compassion for self and others, and meaningful engagement.
2) You’ll be reporting to a Managing Director in Residential Well-being and an Assistant Director in the Office of Learning Partnership, in a Regular twelve-month, 100% administrative professional appointment.
3) You’ll be responsible for helps residential students have a meaningful Virginia Tech experience by :
- building individual coaching relationships with students, getting to know who they are and how they want to be involved on campus,
- providing additional student support through mentoring, referral to resources, incident response, and on-call duties,
- collaborating with campus partners; identifying opportunities to bring programs, activities, and resources into the residential community, as well as opportunities to take residential students to experiences outside the residence hall.
To execute this charge, the Coordinator for ExperienceVT supervises a team of approximately 15-25 Residential Well-being Student Leaders for ExperienceVT who live and work in the residence halls to ensure that every student is engaged.
4) You’ll have the chance to grow and take advantage of a developmental plan with opportunities to advance within the Department and the Division.
5) You’ll be offered a base compensation package between $44,000- $46,000 with an on-campus apartment or $50,000-$52,000, along with a which includes health insurance, paid leave, retirement, tuition assistance, VT discounts, and so much more!

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Be team-oriented and demonstrate adaptability, and initiative
- Demonstrate vision and creativity in program design and promotion, as well as strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrate a growth mindset and embrace change as an opportunity for creativity, learning, and improvement
- Demonstrate a desire to promote diversity and inclusion to foster a safe, welcoming environment for students.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Experience with campus-wide engagement and strategic planning
- Ability to understand student-development theory
- Creativity in identifying, brainstorming, implementing, and evaluating the needs of underserved and underrepresented communities
- Ability to respond effectively to crises
- Experience working with students in a complex, educational setting
