Civil Project Engineer (Transit & Rail)

Civil Project Engineer (Transit & Rail) for Gannett Fleming to work at our Newark, NJ loc. May telecommute up to 2 days / week.

Coordinate w / Client, State, and City Agencies, Subconsultants / subcontractors, and Engineering Disciplines during transit and rail design and construction.

Prep cost proposals, design schedule, earned value analysis, and invoices on design-build projects. Coordinate engineering design tasks and data management from prelim to final design.

Manage Construction Phase Services, Submittals, RFIs, etc. Review drawing, specs, and other docs. Field investigations.

Wage range : $127,000 - $163,000

May be required to work in confined spaces; and, with client-provided protection, works on or adjacent to active railroad / rail transit track.

May be required to obtain PE license within 1 year of employment.

May undergo background checks incl MV check.

Little domestic travel involved up to 60 days / yr.

Minimum Qualifications

Must have Bach in civil engineering or rel field and 5 yrs infrastructure / civil project exp. or Master’s in civil engineering or rel field and 3 yrs infrastructure / civil project exp.

Also reqs the following skills (3 yrs exp) in : CADD / data / quality management; ProjectWise; SharePoint; Procore, ASITE, or Constructware;

BST10 or NetSuite project management program; (6 mos exp) in : Project scheduling; Primavera P6 or MS Project.

Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
