Emergency Pet Care of Texas is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician with ER experience to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients.
Your responsibilities will include assisting veterinarians with examinations and procedures, performing laboratory tests, administering medications, and providing compassionate care to animals and their owners.
We are offering a sign on bonus totaling $2,500 ! After 90 days of successful employment a bonus of $1,000 will be paid. After 6 months of successful employment another bonus of $1,500 will be paid.
Must begin employment by 8 / 16 / 24 to be eligible for sign on bonus.

Opportunities for this position :
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
- Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal analysis
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Prepare animals for surgery and monitor their anesthesia during procedures
- Take and develop X-rays
- Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery of patients
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and answer their questions
Requirements for success :
- Certified Veterinary Technician or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience in an Emergency, Critical Care or hospital setting is highly desirable
- Proficient in animal handling and restraint techniques
- Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and procedures

- Dog training
- Kennel management
- Laboratory testing procedures
- Aseptic technique for surgical procedures
- Animal catheterization techniques
- X-ray imaging and interpretation
