LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a nonprofit in the Grand Rapids, MI area and is looking for a Grant Accountant to join their team!
This Direct Hire position offers a hybrid work arrangement with two days at home after the six-month probationary period.
Responsibilities :
Oversee all financial aspects related to grants.
Conduct audits on grant accounting data, rectify errors, calculate accruals, apply accounting principles to transactions, and propose adjustments to departmental accounting procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws, policies, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Monitor agreements with grant contractors and sub-recipients. Evaluate budgets and reimbursement requests for accuracy, and ensure sub-recipients adhere to established policies.
Qualifications :
Five years of experience in accounting roles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Microsoft Word and GP Dynamics is advantageous.
Familiarity with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Open to experience related to grants, such as within county, government, or church environments.
This posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients. Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the salary range is estimated to be $58,000 to $65,500 and benefits may include health, medical, dental, and vision.
