RN Director of Case Management
Lawton, Oklahoma
The RN Director of Case Management provides oversight of the Case Management team to ensure compliance with standards of practice and other regulatory requirements related to Case Management and Utilization Review.
Qualifications :
- Registered Nurse required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
- Director of Case Management experience in an acute hospital setting
Responsibilities :
- Develops and fosters effective collaboration between Case Management Departments, Medical Staff, corporate, and facility leaders
- Ensures an integrated approach to providing care while fulfilling the hospital's goals and objectives
- Works closely with providers as well as internal and external physician advisors
- Coordinates all UM Committee activities to ensure compliance with meeting frequency and documentation of activity and outcomes
- Works collaboratively with Revenue Cycle team and participates in task force meetings
- Participates in appeals processes and works collaboratively with vendors to ensure the effectiveness and timeliness of appeals
- Analyzes Length of Stay (LOS) and readmissions data and incorporates measures to ensure goals are met
- Introduce evidenced based practices geared to improve Case Management and transitions
- Conducts regular staff meetings to review Federal and State regulatory requirements and emerging internal and external trends
- Provides general training for staff
