Production Manager - Tier 1

Overview :

Location : Morganfield KY (Evansville IN Metro)

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager tooversee our rubbertometal manufacturing operations with a focus onimproving production efficiency quality and process optimization.

The ideal candidate will bring specialized expertise inrubbertometal bonding processes a strong commitment to leanmanufacturing and a proactive approach to enhancing productionoutcomes.

This role is integral to achieving operational excellenceand supporting the Plant Manager in driving turnaround initiativeswithin the plant.

KeyResponsibilities :

• Oversee all aspects of rubbertometal productionincluding planning scheduling workflow management quality controland team supervision.
• Collaborate withengineering and quality teams to optimize bonding processes reducedefects and improve overall productdurability.
• Drive lean manufacturing practicesto reduce waste improve efficiency and enhance throughput inrubbertometal operations.
• Monitor dailyproduction metrics analyze performance data and implementcorrective actions to achieve production targets and qualitystandards.
• Lead continuous improvementinitiatives focusing on productivity costefficiency and safetywithin the production environment.
• Work closelywith maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and uptimereducing downtime in critical productionareas.
• Mentor train and develop productionstaff promoting a culture of accountability skill development andsafety.
• Manage inventory levels ensuringoptimal supply of raw materials while minimizing excessstock.
• Assist in planning and executing capitalprojects including equipment upgrades process improvements andfacility enhancements.
• Enforce compliance withsafety and environmental regulations particularly those related torubbertometal bonding processes.
• Maintain anduphold production documentation including work instructions safetyprotocols and quality standards.

Required Skills andExperience :

• Bachelorsdegree in Engineering Manufacturing Operations Management or arelated field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experiencein a production management role with a focus on rubbertometal orsimilar bonding manufacturing.
• Indepthknowledge of rubbertometal bonding processes including adhesiveselection curing and surfacepreparation.
• Strong background in leanmanufacturing principles Six Sigma and continuous improvementmethodologies.
• Proven experience introubleshooting production issues and implementing processimprovements specific to rubbertometalproduction.
• Demonstrated ability to lead anddevelop production teams fostering a culture of continuousimprovement accountability andsafety.
• Familiarity with equipment andmaintenance needs associated with rubbertometal bonding processesincluding curing ovens presses and adhesive applicationsystems.
• Excellent analytical andproblemsolving skills with a strong focus on datadrivendecisionmaking.
• Proficiency in productionmanagement software (ERP / MRP systems) and basic proficiency inMicrosoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint).
• Solidunderstanding of regulatory compliance standards including ISO 9001and OSHA safety requirements.

Preferred Skills andExperience :

• Mastersdegree in Manufacturing Engineering Industrial Engineering or arelated field.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt orBlack Belt certification.
• Experience in rubberproduct manufacturing for the automotive or heavy equipmentindustries.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949requirements and other automotive qualitystandards.
• Familiarity with advancedmanufacturing techniques such as automation predictive maintenanceand data analytics for process optimization.
