Job Description
The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Medical University of South Carolina is seeking motivated applicants for an adult cardiac surgeon position.
Eligible candidates must have completed a residency training program in Cardiothoracic Surgery. Credentials should include board certification / eligibility by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, and be eligible for a South Carolina Medical License.
The practice encompasses all aspects of general adult cardiac surgery including, but not limited to : coronary artery bypass, aortic and mitral valve repair / replacement, aortic surgery.
The successful candidate should possess clinical skills and be committed to excellence in patient care, quality and safety.
The surgeon in this position will be one of two who will be responsible for helping to cover at our 4 affiliated cardiac surgery programs around South Carolina including Florence, Anderson, Greenwood and Columbia.
Appointment as an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Surgery at Medical University of South Carolina will be commensurate with experience, training and teaching activities.

Additional New Requirements : Ability to maintain a valid drivers license. Computer literacy. Ability to work rotating shifts.
Ability to work overtime as required. Ability to learn and use new processes, tools and equipment as required.
