Summary :

Performs ultrasound testing (primarily venous and arterial mapping) as ordered by the physician

Essential Duties / Responsibilities :

Includes the following but other duties may be assigned :

• Prioritize and evaluate patient orders
• Prepares patient and explains procedures to patient; answers questions carefully and completely
• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedure in accordance with accepted protocols as directed by physician
• Follow prescribed safety standards in operating equipment
• Maintain ultrasound and vascular lab equipment in appropriate operating condition
• Maintain examination rooms and work areas. Order and stock all ultrasound and vascular lab supplies
• Maintain accurate department records, reports and files as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned by manager
