Sr. Claims Specialist - Complex Construction Claims117562Zurich North America is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Claims Specialist to join our Complex Liability Claims team.

This role is essential in managing complex, high-exposure construction, and litigation claims, while supporting the New York Labor team to ensure claims are handled efficiently and effectively, with a focus on delivering customer-centric service.

S., with 20% travel expected within the New York metropolitan area.Key Responsibilities : Manage complex primary and excess high-exposure litigated general liability claims with an emphasis on litigated construction claims, from inception to resolution.

Collaborate with your colleagues to drive best practices and optimal claims outcomes.Ensure regular communication with clients, brokers, business units, and senior claims management.

Proactively manage and resolve high-severity injury claims while adhering to Zurich’s best practices.Accurately document claims files, capturing and updating relevant data to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Basic Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of experience managing litigated general liability claims, including high-severity casesJuris Doctor (JD) with 4+ years of experience managing general liability claims, including high-severity casesHigh School Diploma (or equivalent) and 10+ years of experience managing litigated general liability claims, including high-severity casesZurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, with an Associate Degree and 8+ years of experience managing litigated general liability claims, including high-severity casesMust obtain and retain required adjuster licensesProficiency with Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of insurance regulations, markets, and productsPreferred Qualifications : SCLA, AIC, CPCU certification or a JD10+ years of experience managing litigated general liability claims, including high-severity cases with an emphasis on construction claimsExperience with New York Labor LawProven skills in claim evaluation, coverage analysis, and negotiationStrong organizational and time management abilitiesExceptional verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work both independently and in a collaborative team environmentCompensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.

The salary provided is a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled.

The starting salary range for this position is$83,700.00 - $137,100.00.As an insurance company, Zurich is subject to 18 U.
