Purpose of Role

Daemen University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Women's Volleyball Graduate Assistant for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Under supervision, the Graduate Assistant for Women's Volleyball provides support to the head coach in the areas of coaching, operations, fundraising, camps, and recruiting.

Daemen is a member of the East Coast Conference (ECC). The selected applicant will receive a tuition waiver for up to nine graduate credits per semester.

The applicant will be responsible for the cost of any fees associated with the program. This position is renewable for the next academic year conditional upon satisfactory performance, availability of funds and adherence to all Daemen College academic requirements and employment protocols.

About This Opportunity

Joining our Athletic team, Graduate Assistant - Women's Volleyball will be responsible for the following :

Primary Duties

• Coordinates team travel during championship season.
• Assist in design and structure of practice activity and in game strategy.
• Assist the head coach in scouting opponents. This position requires the ability to break down and evaluate film through Volleymetrics.
• Supports a positive and competitive team environment.
• Recruit on and off campus and be involved in on-campus visits.
• Organize and arrange camps and clinics, including but not limited to; working camp sessions.
• Assists with community service initiatives and program and college wide fundraising efforts.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

• Working knowledge of NCAA Division I / II rules.
• Collegiate coaching and / or playing experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• A valid U.S. driver's license
• Ability to work both traditional and non-traditional business hours.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.

Admission into a postgraduate program at Daemen University is required.
