Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated General Engineering Intern to support our engineering team in developing advanced energy storage solutions.

This internship offers the opportunity to gain practical experience in electrical, embedded systems, mechanical, and system optimization.

You will assist with design, testing, and implementation while learning about industry-standard tools and software used in energy storage technologies.

• Validation Engineer
• Software Quality Engineer
• Project Manager
• Mechanical Engineer
• Embedded Hardware Engineer
• IT / IS / Business Systems

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist in the design, development, and optimization of electrical, hardware and software systems for energy storage solutions
• Collaborate with senior engineers on product development principles into projects
• Support the integration and testing of control systems, algorithms, and software to improve energy storage system performance
• Use industry-standard software tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, MATLAB / Simulink, and Altium Designer to assist with modeling and design.
• Be a part of the development of Battery Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), as well as other energy subsystems
• Participate in prototype testing, validation, and troubleshooting for Lion Energy components
• Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, reports, and presentations
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in energy storage
• Work alongside project management, marketing and sales, as well as other departments of Lion Energy to gain exposure and general business understanding

Qualifications :

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Coursework or experience in programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Java) and engineering software tools
• Familiarity with tools like MATLAB / Simulink, AutoCAD Electrical, and Altium Designer is a plus.
• Interest in learning about energy storage technologies and systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills :

• Experience with basic control systems, embedded systems, or power electronics (through coursework or projects)
• Enthusiasm for sustainability and clean energy technologies.
