Human Resources Generalist

Education and / or Experience : (includes certificate & licenses)

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
• Bilingual English and Spanish (highly preferred)
• 2-4+ years of recent Human Resources experience
• Proficient in MS Office to include PowerPoint and Excel
• SHRM (plus but not required)
• ADP Workforce Now

Job Summary :

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Labor Law, Management success, Applied Reasoning, Payroll
• Handle worker comps, FMLA, LA claims
• Handle payroll duties, employee relations, lawsuits
• Communication and setting up webinars for the team to keep everyone updated on laws, sexual harassment, payroll, CA labor laws
• Manages requisitions and hiring to meet organizational goals to include quality of hires; time to fill and cost per hire
• Leverages online recruiting resources and in-house ATS to identify and recruit the very best candidates
• Create and implement employee relations policies to help increase employees' job satisfaction
• Establish an orientation procedure for onboarding new hires and training them to meet the needs of the company
• Employee relations, benefits, and training
• Performs job analysis and works with hiring managers to develop and document effective job descriptions
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements
• Initiate and supervise the implementation and advancement of human resource processes
• In-depth knowledge of Human Resource operations and legal regulations
• Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, and hiring processes and refer questions that one cannot answer to appropriate HR staff or management
