Director of Nursing (RN) Med / Surg
Location : Las Vegas, Nevada, United States
Salary Range : $110,000 $150,000 annually, plus bonus, full benefits, and signing bonus
Job Overview : The Director of Nursing for the Med / Surg Unit will be responsible for the 24-hour management of the assigned unit, ensuring that patient care meets the standard of care.
This leadership role requires a dedicated individual with a strong clinical background and management experience to oversee the delivery of high-quality nursing services.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee the daily operations of the Med / Surg unit, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote excellent patient care and safety.
- Manage nursing staff, including hiring, training, evaluating, and providing continuous professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and hospital efficiency.
- Monitor budget and resource allocation to ensure the unit’s financial health.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and participate in strategic planning.
Required Skills and Certifications :
- Current RN license in the State of Nevada.
- Current BCLS Certification .
- RN Leadership Experience .
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing , BSN required, MSN preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years clinical experience .
- Minimum of two (2) years progressive management experience .
Preferred Qualifications :
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is highly preferred.
- Experience in a Med / Surg environment.
- Proven track record of leadership and management in a healthcare setting.
