Manage one or more Agile teams to ensure effective application of Agile best practices and Agile framework to project / product team backlog execution.
Facilitate team ceremonies and recommend improvements to increase team efficiency. Partner with Product Owner to ensure road maps align with backlog and release plan.
Key Responsibilities
Manage two Agile marketing teams focused on Saleforce sales enablement and marketing automation technologies by providing effective collaboration, facilitation, leadership, and coaching to support the teams with the agile development and delivery process.
Organize and facilitate Backlog Grooming, Collaboration Charter, Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Release planning and Retrospectives.
Provide leadership and conflict resolution for Agile team members and marketing / sales cross commit partners to ensure business product deliverables are met.
Help coach team members on best Agile practices and problem-solving using Agile principles. Remove impediments and identify potential process improvements to help team deliver at a higher level.
- Collaborate and support leadership with quarterly and long-range planning including establishing an agenda, preparing and planning meetings and working sessions, and creating and monitoring follow up actions.
- Coach Product Owners to develop, manage, and continuously groom the sales enablement and marketing automation product backlogs.
Partner with Product Owners to pull information for team velocity and sprint / release progress on initiatives, so informed decisions can be made around prioritization of backlog.
Assist Product Owner in reporting how initiatives are progressing on product roadmap.
Work effectively with business partners, vendors, technology, and Scrum Master peers to develop Agile charter and ensure agreement / adoption of product / project working agreements and goals for team.
Utilize all members to help identify potential work for the product backlog for the project / product team.
- Analyze team processes and utilize team retros to coach best practices, so teams can be more efficient and effective. Look for potential improvement to help team move faster.
- Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on agile methods and tools.
- Support teams as needed with reporting, compliance, presentations, and team events.
Required Qualifications
- 3 5+ years of relevant experience working on a team as a Scrum Master in digital marketing / digital product management.
- Demonstrated capability and understanding of Atlassian tools (e.g. Jira and Confluence).
- Experience working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform or other digital marketing automation platforms.
- Demonstrated experience in working with medium- to large-scale product initiatives to successful implementation.
- Effective at building relationships.
- Highly effective communication skills, including the ability to articulate information to a broad audience.
- Understanding of Agile best practices and experience working on an agile team for at least one year.
- Able to identify impediments and remove barriers impacting team.
- Positive and calm demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on a team as a Scrum Master.
- Financial industry and Marketing Automation experience a plus.
