THE ROLE

As a Scrum master, you will facilitate and coach scrum teams in understanding and application of Agile (Scrum or Kanban) principles, values, and best practices.

The Scrum master will participate in program increment (PI) planning events, identify, and resolve dependencies between teams and helps teams revolve impediments.

Additionally, the Scrum master will lead a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging experimentation and innovation.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Guide and coach teams on Agile principles, values, and practices to improve delivery while role modeling MFS leadership behaviors.
  • Effectively facilitates team meetings (daily stand-up, sprint planning, sprint review, story refinement and retrospectives, etc.

according to agile best practices.

  • Foster environment of openmunication among team members and stakeholders; promote positive team dynamics to ensure members collaborate and work effectively.
  • Partner with leadership in scaled planning activities including organizing and leading scaled ceremonies.
  • Enable Agile teams to maintain a healthy team environment by removing team-level impediments and resolve conflicts. This includes helping the team to identify risks, potential dependencies and rmending steps to mitigate or reduce risks / dependencies.
  • Facilitate conversations to improve team-level Agile performance with a focus on customer value, quality, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Enable progress towards objective increment and oues.
  • Build and leverage effective alliances across other teams and the technical and businessmunities.
  • Tracks and publishes prescribed team metrics. Leverage JIRA or other tool capabilities to allow for transparent visualization of project execution.
  • Lead discussions to improve Agile team maturity with the goal of improving Agile teams' agile ways of working and better oues.
  • Participate and actively contribute to Agilemunity
  • Perform additional duties, as required

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 5-6+ years' experience in a Scrum Master or similar Agile role applying Agile principles and practices including delivery of several epics, releases and versions and application of a wide variety of patterns and techniques (, leveraging burndown, facilitating retrospectives, refining user stories, etc.) preferred.
  • Experience leading others with the ability to earn trust while still challenging the team to improve and operate outside itsfort zone in an Agile environment preferred.
  • Agile Mindset : Embody Agile core values of openness, courage, respect, focus, andmitment. Infuse Agile principles, practices, and methodologies to achieve team success.
  • Project Management : Ability to initiate, plan, execute, and guide the work of a team to achieve specific goals and meet specific success criteria within a specified time.

  • Leadership : Helps foster an environment where individuals thrive as empowered and equal members of a team.
