Our team is expanding and looking to add a Packaging Engineer . We are looking for a dynamic and driven candidate who is interested in joining a fast-growing global company in the automotive sector.

The Packaging Engineer will Establish and improve various basic information materials for the Supply Chain Packaging Procurement Dept.

as well as procedural documents and forms for system review. Other duties include :

• Responsible for the Procurement Inquiry, Price Verification, Pricing, and Annual Pricing of new disposable packaging and turnover containers for the group's North American factories, as well as daily price negotiations with suppliers and annual price reduction negotiations.
• Daily management of suppliers, developing and promoting annual development, integration, and elimination plans for suppliers based on category strategies.
• Familiar with the market situation of packaging raw materials, as well as improving and updating pricing information according to market conditions.
• Proactively propose packaging improvement suggestions, collect packaging improvement cases, assist in packaging technology improvement, and effectively reduce packaging costs.
• Submit various data reports on time, ensure the accuracy of data, and complete data archiving.
• Promote the achievement of individual / departmental annual goals and lead special tasks at each stage.

To be a qualified candidate you must have the following :

• Bachelor's degree or above, with a preference for majors in packaging, machinery, materials, or related fields.
• 5 years or more of professional work experience in packaging procurement or 3 years or more of overseas packaging procurement experience in the automotive industry.
• English can be used as the working language, proficiency in Chinese is preferred.

Key to being successful in this role :

• Familiar with procurement workflow, cost control skills, and supplier management;
• Master supply market information and development trends, possess skills in problem analysis, decision-making, communication and coordination, planning and organization, business negotiation, familiar with local contract laws and supplier management manuals.
• Understand knowledge related to quality system, finance, information procurement, as well as factory on-site production management and logistics.
• High sense of responsibility, proactive, objective and rigorous, patient and meticulous, strong ability to withstand pressure.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, time and project management abilities, a certain level of cost awareness and integrity, strong ability to handle pressure and achieve mission.
