Job Description
Under general supervision, the Patient and Family Liaison works with patients and their families to address concerns or special needs that may arise during their course of treatment.
This role acts as an intermediary between hospital departments, administration and the patient / family to bring about the most effective healthcare treatment and positive hospital experience.

Requirements
A high school diploma and 3 years relevant experience or a bachelor's degree and one year relevant experience in service recovery for healthcare, public health or human services.
The successful candidate will have the ability to build relationships, to communicate information verbally and in writing in an effective and empathetic manner;
in addition. must have the ability to remain calm in the event of a crisis. Incumbent will work independently as well as collaborate within and across departments.
The ability to multitask and strong organizational skills is a must.
Physical Requirements
Sitting particularly for sustained periods of time.
Walking moving about the foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances.
Talking expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detained or important spoken instructions to others accurately, loudly and quickly.
Hearing perceiving the nature of sounds with no less than a 40DB loss @ 500 Hz 1,000Hz an 2,000Hz with or without correction.
Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make the fine discrimination in sound, such as when making find adjustments on machine parts.
Physical Requirements :
Long periods of sitting and walking.
Visual acuity must be able to do the following : visual inspection involving small defects; computer terminal and transcription.

Education & Experience : A Bachelor's degree and one year work experience; or high school diploma (or equivalent) and 2 to 4 years work experience.
