About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Job Specialty : ICU Nursing Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : DNR - 12x3 (Day / Evening / Night Rotate) - 36 hours per week Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 3 years of ICU RN experience;
2 years of continuous MICU experience preferred License : Active RN License Certifications : BLS, ACLS Must-Have : Ability to read telemetry strips Job Description : Work in a 20-bed Medical / Surgical ICU caring for adult patients.
- Manage a range of diagnoses including Sepsis, GI bleed, Respiratory failure, Cardiac arrest, Renal failure, DKA, and cardiogenic shock.
- Collaborate with attending physicians and residents available 24 hours a day.- Float as needed, primarily to Medical / Surgical Units.
- Handle rotating shifts as required with a potential schedule of 7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a; night shifts are fixed.- Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 2, or 1 : 1 for high acuity cases.
- Utilize the EPIC EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system.- Demonstrate competency in telemetry. This role demands a dedicated RN prepared to adapt to the dynamic environment of an ICU, providing exceptional care to a diverse patient population.
