Client Overview :
Our client, a dynamic mid-sized financial firm based in Manhattan, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team.
This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the company’s accounts payable functions.
Salary / Hourly Rate :
$30 $35 / hr
Position Overview :
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, and maintaining effective vendor relationships.
This Accounts Payable Specialist role involves processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end close activities.
Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist :
- Process and review invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Maintain and update vendor records, including handling vendor inquiries and resolving discrepancies
- Perform regular reconciliations of accounts payable ledgers and statements
- Assist with month-end close by preparing and reconciling accounts payable reports
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and timely payment processing
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations as required
Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Specialist :
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Education Requirements :
- Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
